Colorado Residential Energy Upgrade (RENU) Loan
ABE Heating and Cooling offers RENU for financing. The RENU Loan program is a statewide residential loan program, sponsored by the Colorado Clean Energy Fund (CCEF)*, that makes home energy upgrades easy and affordable by offering low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements.
Colorado RENU Loan Terms
- Loan Amount: Up to $75,000
- Term: Up to 20 Years, no money down
- Rate: Low, fixed interest rate
- Repayment: Monthly principal and interest payments; no pre-payment penalties

On Bill Repayment Program
The On-bill Repayment Program (OBR) is a mechanism by which a resident or business owner can install certain energy upgrades to their property at no upfront cost and repay the cost of the measure and installation via a voluntary tariff on their monthly utility bill. The term “repayment” included in OBR denotes the fact that a third party, in this case CCEF, provides the upfront funding for the installation.
This program allows customers from Gunnison County Electric Association, Sangre de Cristo Electric Association, San Luis Valley Electric & soon to be Mountain View Electric, to finance their energy efficient upgrade through their service provider.
